The Gate Clerk is the first and last point of contact for inbound and outbound loads at a customer facility. This position may work a rotating shift. Responsibilities: Process Inbound and Outbound loads. Checking in and maintaining security with outside careers Performing yard audits as needed Keep accurate record of all inbound and outbound trailers. Check seals and numbers on all inbound and outbound trails. Security-adjacent tasks such as gate management and perimeter reporting Prioritize and process both Inbound and Outbound paperwork and BOLs (Bill of Lading) Assist in maintaining consistent flow of freight for timely outbound/inbound processing. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities The ability to work in a fast paced and always changing environment. Ability to Multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills Ability to compile and record data in an efficient and accurate manner Have knowledge of customer and company requirements regarding shipping and receiving Education/Experience High school Diploma or Equivalent 2+ years’ experience in an administrative capacity preferred 2+ Years Customer Service Experience preferred.
