About The Position
Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) - Gastroenterology (Liver) Join the Gastroenterology team at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health. We are hiring a compassionate and highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to provide high-quality, patient-focused care in our Outpatient GI Clinic. About the Opportunity Role: Full-Time Outpatient APP (NP or PA) in Gastroenterology. Setting: Fast-paced, busy Outpatient GI Clinic. Schedule: NO call, NO weekends, NO holidays! (40 clinical hours/week). Team: Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of Gastroenterologists, APPs, and Nurses. Focus: Evaluation and management of adult GI conditions in collaboration with MDs.
Requirements
- 1 year of Hepatology or GI APP experience is REQUIRED.
- PA: Graduate of an accredited PA program.
- NP: Graduate of a Master's program in Nursing.
- Required: Active APRN/PA certification and license, DEA number, and MA Controlled Substances Registration number.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive liver-disease-focused evaluations an d follow-up visits.
- Diagnose and manage a broad range of liver conditions, including: Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD/NASH) Viral hepatitis (HBV, HCV) Cirrhosis & its complications Alcohol-associated liver disease Autoimmune liver diseases (AIH, PBC, PSC) Abnormal liver tests
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, stool studies).
- Coordinate care with GI subspecialists, Primary Care, and other referring providers.
- Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation and assist with in-basket management.
