About The Position

Bethany Medical is an established Independent Multi-Specialty Practice with locations in Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem, Jamestown, Kernersville, North Wilkesboro, and Mt. Airy. Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathy.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine
  • Completion of a Gastroenterology Fellowship with board certification or board eligibility.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to work as a team to achieve common goals.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains confidentiality of patient and corporate information
  • Perform diagnostic procedures (e.g., endoscopies, colonoscopies) at a state-of-the-art endoscopy center to identify gastrointestinal conditions and diseases.
  • Evaluate patient history and symptoms to develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging results to inform patient care decisions.
  • Provide specialized treatments for conditions such as IBS, Crohn’s disease, ulcers, and liver disease.
  • Administer preventive care and screenings, such as cancer screenings and dietary assessments.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment options, lifestyle changes, and disease management.
  • Participate in research or clinical trials to advance knowledge in gastroenterology.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records to ensure continuity of care.
  • Stay updated on new treatments and technologies within the field of gastroenterology.
  • Build relationships with patients, value bedside manner, and possess excellent clinical skills.
  • Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and assist in provision of continuity of care.
  • Communicate with patients regarding testing results, follow-up care, and additional information.
  • Refer patients to specialists and relevant patient care components as appropriate.
