About The Position

This position is part of PG&E's ERDP Gas Summer Internship Program where work assignments will be in either the Gas Operations or Gas Engineering organization. The work location to be determined within our service territory. Engineering Interns will have the opportunity to participate in the Summer Intern Program designed to help students gain valuable knowledge and experience in either PG&E’s Gas Operations or Gas Engineering. Each engineering intern will be placed in a specific department within Gas Operations or Gas Engineering and will be expected to contribute as a valuable team member. PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. The hourly rate for a bachelor’s degree ranges from $24.52 to $29.81 and for a master’s degree is $35.37.

Requirements

  • Qualified candidates are currently enrolled pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree full-time in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related engineering fields.
  • Students must be continuing education towards degree during and/or after internship. Students must be returning back to school in the Fall of 2026 continuing full-time enrollment.
  • Must be in good academic standing.
