Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated, highly skilled technician to perform advanced diagnostics, full preventative maintenance (PM) services, and comprehensive mechanical and electrical repairs on commercial trucks and box trucks. This role ensures fleet and customer vehicle safety, reliability, performance, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is capable of working independently on complex systems including drive train, brake, suspension, and electrical components.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of diesel technician experience diagnosing and repairing light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks.
  • Proven experience performing full PM services independently.
  • Strong knowledge of brake systems (air and hydraulic), clutch systems, drive train components, steering and suspension systems, and electrical diagnostics.
  • Experience with wheel end repairs and box truck electrical systems.
  • Ability to perform OEM brake jobs and major component replacements.
  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred (training available).
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and push/pull up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment and random DOT drug screenings.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance services in accordance with manufacturer and company standards, including inspections, lubrication, fluid, and filter replacement.
  • Inspect and perform clutch and brake adjustments and related repairs .
  • Inspect, service, and repair 5th wheel assemblies .
  • Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on heating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
  • Conduct steering and suspension repairs , including replacement of related components.
  • Assist with drive train repairs , including drive lines, U-joints, and differentials.
  • Accurately document all work performed on repair orders and inspection reports.
  • Operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, and basic diagnostic equipment in a safe manner.
  • Perform state and federal safety inspections as trained and authorized.
  • Assist with emissions-related inspections and maintenance where applicable.
  • Comply with all company safety policies , DOT regulations, and applicable state and federal laws.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to C-Level Technicians as needed.
