About The Position

UniFirst seeks a reliable and hardworking Production Team Partner to join our UniFirst Family. As a Team Partner in the Stockroom Department, you will keep our production floor stocked and ready to go as we move through the day! At UniFirst, we have a 5-day work week; enjoy Saturday and Sunday off!! We have an immediate opening and provide on-the-job training.
UniFirst classifies the Garment Mender role as a Production Team Partner within the Alterations & Mending Department. This role focuses on ensuring customer garments are in exceptional condition through quality inspection and repair.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old to operate machinery (16+ for, load building areas).
• Ability to stand/walk for 8-hour shifts and lift 15-30 lbs.
• Basic, math and communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair defects: Fix garment issues using correct mending procedures, such as patching holes, repairing tears, or replacing buttons on items like shirts.
• Manage work orders: Receive mending requests and products from Route Sales and the garment finishing area.
• Record keeping: Complete paperwork and maintain records in a timely manner.
• Compliance: Follow all safety policies, including HACCP and medical guidelines.
• Workspace maintenance: Keep a clean and organized work area
