About The Position
Job Summary Details: The Garage Porter provides the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5:00a.m to 2:00p.m. Location: West Houston, TX 77079 Pay: $15.00 per hour, paid weekly The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. For information about ABM’s benefits, visit ABM Employee Benefits | Front Line Team Members | (Programa de Beneficios de ABM) Basic Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older Experience using equipment such as pressure washer, air blower, and other cleaning tools No high school diploma, GED or college degree required Preferred Qualifications: Customer service experience 1 year of similar work experience Responsibilities: Maintain cleanliness and safety of the corporate building’s parking garage Sweep, blow leaves, and remove debris from garage floors and surrounding areas Gather and empty trash from designated receptacles Operate cleaning equipment including pressure washers and air blowers Clean stairwells, elevators, and other common areas within the garage Follow procedures for safe use of cleaning chemicals and power equipment Notify Manager of any maintenance needs or safety hazards Establish and maintain effective communication with clients, co-workers, and supervisors Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards set by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities Perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal or other incidental duties as required A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. Requirements
