As a Garage Door Technician, you’ll be the trusted expert customers rely on—combining technical skill, problem-solving, and outstanding service.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR
  • Ability to lift 75+ lbs, climb ladders, and use basic hand and power tools
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with garage door systems (commercial systems a big plus)
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards
  • Experience using ServiceTitan or similar service software

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain residential, commercial, and industrial garage doors and openers
  • Perform thorough inspections to ensure all work meets safety standards and company quality expectations
  • Diagnose issues, explain solutions clearly, and recommend products or upgrades when appropriate
  • Deliver a positive, professional, and empathetic customer experience on every call
  • Document work accurately with notes, diagrams, and photos to support future service needs
  • Communicate and coordinate with teammates to keep operations running smoothly
  • Follow OSHA and company safety protocols to protect yourself, your team, and customers
  • Continue developing your skills through training and hands-on experience
  • Take pride in workmanship that exceeds customer expectations
