As a Garage Door Technician, you’ll be the trusted expert customers rely on—combining technical skill, problem-solving, and outstanding service.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs, climb ladders, and use basic hand and power tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice To Haves
- Experience with garage door systems (commercial systems a big plus)
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards
- Experience using ServiceTitan or similar service software
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain residential, commercial, and industrial garage doors and openers
- Perform thorough inspections to ensure all work meets safety standards and company quality expectations
- Diagnose issues, explain solutions clearly, and recommend products or upgrades when appropriate
- Deliver a positive, professional, and empathetic customer experience on every call
- Document work accurately with notes, diagrams, and photos to support future service needs
- Communicate and coordinate with teammates to keep operations running smoothly
- Follow OSHA and company safety protocols to protect yourself, your team, and customers
- Continue developing your skills through training and hands-on experience
- Take pride in workmanship that exceeds customer expectations
