Here, you will find more than just a job—you will find purpose and pride. Summary: (optional) Receive, handle and ship unsterile and sterile product by using hand pallet trucks and forklift trucks. Follow local Procedures and corporate Specifications in order to sterilize and ship the product to the distribution center for internal and external customers. Also, place dosimeters on the designated area according to process specifications and document all entries on require documents, such as Processing Reports, count verification, device accountability record and tally sheets, etc. Support or perform maintenance of all process equipment and working area.

Requirements

  • Ability to use computer system, calculators, hand pallet trucks, forklifts wrapping machine and small tools.
  • Make good decisions based on work priorities and coordinate with production department and outside customers the product movement and process.
  • Driver Licenses and Forklifts certification, it's a must.
  • Work closely with production department shipping personnel, customers and production and sterilization supervisors.
  • N/A: Intern or Co-op High school diploma must be able to read and understand diagrams and specifications written in English.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish).

Nice To Haves

  • knowledge of Gamma sterilization process is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Receive un-sterile and sterile product, palletize, count and generate all require documentation required by internal or external clients process and specifications.
  • Coordinate with Lead Operator the sterilization run number to sterilize product.
  • Product counts by pallets, products and lots and documented them on required documents by internal or external clients process and specifications.
  • Place dosimeters according to process specifications.
  • Retrieve dosimeters and generate require documentation.
  • Remove and count the product after sterilization and load it in the shipping container.
  • Document sterilization processing time on require logbook and forms.
  • Give disposition to sub-assembly and other products sterilized by GAMMA.
  • Generate material movement manifest to all sterilized product.
  • Assist the Gamma Irradiator Operator and Technician with preventive maintenance to the irradiator and other Gamma areas or equipment.
  • Request stretch wrapping material and place it at the wrapping machine.
  • Fill out Finished Products Shipping Reports pertaining to containers to be shipped.
  • Inspection and cleaning of all containers to be used for shipment of finished product.
  • Must be able to work irregular hours, extra hours, holidays and shut down periods.
  • Manually document (ex: checker chart) and/or electronically document (ex: POMs, Konnexis) the required information to comply applicable procedures and specifications. This information includes but is not limited to process parameters, lots, amount of production, and others.
  • Actively report health and safety hazards, environmental aspects, incidents, and EHS management system risks and opportunities. Participate in the development, planning, implementation, performance evaluation and actions for continuous improvement of the EHS Management System.
