Work Location & Shifts: 1120 Industrial Ave, North Platte, NE 2nd Shift 5:00pm-3:30am Monday -Thursday Pay: The hourly pay rate range for this position is 24.64 + shift differential and benefits.  Base pay will vary within the range depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.   This information is specific to North Platte and may not be applicable to other locations. What your day in this role might involve at OC-North Platte: Overview To adequately and efficiently transport product, raw materials, etc. from location to location within the manufacturing facility. Ensure all product is transported in a safe manner.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior forklift operation in manufacturing environment
  • 2-3 Years in the field or related area
  • Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilities
  • Communicate, in English, in a clear and effective manner
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Work independently, as well as part of a team, and have shift flexibility

  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field

  • Required to mount and dismount forklift multiple times per day
  • Forklift knowledge and safety procedures

Responsibilities

  • Reads/interprets shipping schedules, stages doors, sorts by length, width, customer, core type to create correct stacks for shipping
  • Stages for shipping once wrapped
  • Conduct pre-shift inspection of the forklift to ensure safety and operational compliance
  • Provide safe operation of forklift throughout the facility. Abide by all safety rules and regulations required with forklift operation
  • Pull all production wrap lines as required
  • Pay attention to detail when pulling items from Warehouse based on work order
  • Must be able to work extended hours and overtime as needed if business need requires
  • Replace pallets/runners as necessary to maintain a safe working environment
  • Must understand all shipping documents in order to understand the space required for product
  • Will also perform other related duties as assigned, which may not be specifically listed in the job description
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
