About The Position

Analyze various electronic gaming systems for compliance. Analyze and test user requirements, procedures, and problems. Enforce non-compliant issues by preparing technical reports with any necessary enforcement provisions, such as a notice of violation or greater. Much of this position's duty requires a significant portion of the work hours to be applied to measuring various video gaming systems compliance. Additionally, regular agent duties will be conducted when necessary. Enforce applicable laws and regulations related to Class III and Class II gaming and ensure the protection of assets and the safety of people. Adhere to the policies, procedures, and directives in a cooperative, respectful, and responsible manner. This job requires high adaptability skills and a high degree of self-motivation. Must be 21 years of age, physically fit, capable of lifting 75 lbs., have good vision, with corrective lenses if applicable, able to physically detain uncooperative subjects, able to successfully pass a certified training, WA ST. Police Reserve Academy, handcuffing and defensive tactics for the protection of patrons, gaming operation associates and for the safeguarding of the Nations' gaming assets. Conducting and reporting compliance measurements is a daily routine. Must be able to write thorough reports and investigate incidents of all violations. Must follow directives and work well with a diverse pool of people. This position is required to conduct regular Gaming Agent duties as necessary. However, the primary duties will be monitoring and measuring various gaming systems.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Tribal, Federal, and state laws and regulations specific to the gaming industry.
  • Analyze electronic gaming systems processes for compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Analyze user requirements and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal relation skills
  • Must communicate effectively and efficiently verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with mechanical components and logistical functionality of network gaming systems
  • Must have strong analytical skills related to applying gaming laws and regulations.
  • Analyze and report compliance data related to various electronic gaming systems.
  • Follow directives, policies, and procedures.
  • Write reports, notice of violations and compliance data.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in regulatory hearings and a court of law.
  • Maintain and promote strict standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Computer science associate degree, or equivalent, professional certificates helpful.
  • Successfully pass a Police Reserve Academy within one year of hire.
  • Required to sign a Confidentiality, Code of Conduct, and Oath of Office agreement.
  • Any equivalent combination of education or work experience may be substituted for required qualifications.
  • This position requires working in an environment with moderate to high noise levels.
  • Required constant use of extremities for walking, climbing, kneeling, grabbing, and standing is necessary.
  • This is a non-exempt position that, at times, may require a non-traditional work schedule as deemed necessary by the Enforcement Manager.
  • At least two years experience with Class III and Class II electronic gambling systems
  • Have no gross-misdemeanors, felonies or pending charges or prosecutions which involve violence, illegal substance abuse/possession, theft, or computer crimes.
  • Ability to pass an annual thorough criminal background investigation.
  • Required to pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Ability to pass a random drug screening.
  • Required to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the electronic gaming systems for compliance with various rules, regulations, and internal controls.
  • Maintain accurate records of gaming system information as required by YNGC, NIGC and WSGC regulatory requirements.
  • Work with gaming system vendors to facilitate the certification of gaming systems and to monitor vendor compliance with Commission regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of statistical information.
  • Complete reports regarding any deviations or issues regarding electronic gaming systems and other violations.
  • Stay apprised of changing technologies available for operation within the Commission's jurisdiction and develops compliance programs capable of testing and verifying system compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Propose revisions to Commission regulations and processes that adapt to changing technologies and ensure the adequate protection of Yakama Nation gaming assets.
  • Work in cooperation with other divisions of the Yakama Nation Gaming Commission.
  • Conduct compliance measurement processes.
  • Assist with investigations, the collection of evidence and interviewing of subjects as directed.
  • Work on various projects for the Commission.
  • Other duties as assigned.
