About The Position

Summary: The Gameday Social Media Representative is responsible for capturing video content of on-field baseball activities using professional cameras. Beyond daily social media coverage, content will be used for brand campaigns, scoreboard and other platforms to further elevate the growth of the New York Mets. This is a part-time, seasonal position covering Mets games and events. This role requires night and weekends throughout the year and requires flexibility to be available on short notice. Some travel may be required. The New York Mets are a world-class Sports and Media Entertainment Company located in Flushing, New York. Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional quality videography experience
  • Experience with DSLR or mirrorless cameras in a sports environment
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and what content works best on each
  • Proficient understanding of viral content
  • Familiarity with the Mets and overall baseball current storylines
  • Love for visual storytelling
  • Conducts professionally on the field representing the New York Mets
  • A love for baseball

Nice To Haves

  • Editing skills in Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut, Cap Cut or similar platforms is a plus
  • Spanish-Language is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead live action baseball content capture on gamedays with a focus on game highlights
  • Work 65 or more Mets games during the season
  • Seek out diverse visual viewpoints in the ballpark to help tell a more complete story of the Citi Field fan experience
  • Attend home games/events at Citi Field to capture pregame, in-game, and postgame content and transmit for real-time distribution
  • Generate content primarily for game day with occasional responsibilities creating content for marketing, promotions and sponsorship activations on social and editorial platforms
  • Produce content on a nightly basis on tight deadlines
  • Ability to edit short form 9:16 reel style social media content
  • Be agile and prepared to quickly adapt when priorities unexpectedly shift
  • This role requires non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends
  • Proactively pursue opportunities to learn and build new skills
  • Seek and provide feedback to strengthen and improve development areas
