About The Position

The Gallery Host is the face of Hyatt Place and plays a key role in creating an effortless, welcoming, and memorable guest experience. This position combines front desk duties, food & beverage service, and general guest support. Gallery Hosts uphold Hyatt brand standards, provide genuine hospitality, and ensure smooth day-to-day hotel operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency: experience with hotel PMS(Opera Cloud) is a plus.
  • Must be able to work variable shifts—including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Stand for extended periods.
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 30 pounds.
  • Move safely around the hotel (including bending, reaching, and walking).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency: experience with hotel PMS(Opera Cloud) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet guests, provide check-in/check-out services, and ensure all brand standards are followed.
  • Answer guest inquiries in person, by phone, and through digital channels.
  • Assist with room assignments, room keys, payment authorization, and necessary documentation.
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally; escalate issues when needed.
  • Promote World of Hyatt membership and accurately enter member information.
  • Prepare and serve food & beverage items including Gallery Market, and evening offerings.
  • Maintain cleanliness including stocking the market area and Gallery Café.
  • Ensure proper food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures.
  • Restock supplies, check inventory levels, and communicate needs to management.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby/gallery environment.
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks when required to support the team.
  • Follow all safety, security, and emergency procedures.
  • Complete shift duties such as balancing cash banks, preparing shift reports, and securing the workspace.
  • Collaborate closely with Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Communicate guest preferences, issues, or feedback to leadership.
  • Assist in training new team members as needed.
