The majority of the graduate teaching assistant’s primary duties are in the support of instruction, including but not limited to the responsibilities below: 1. Assist a faculty member with teaching-related tasks 2. Serve as a primary or secondary teaching instructor in a class or laboratory 3. Grade student assignments promptly, which requires knowledge of subjects taught in the class or laboratory 4. Meet with and/or tutor students, hold office hours, prepare instructional materials, and assist during class and/or lab, etc. 5. Spend the number of assigned hours for which you are being paid attending to these duties 6. Proctor lab exams 7. Grade lab exams and assignments 8. Take attendance 9. Complete other duties as assigned 10. Work hours in Student Learning Center The School of IT is accepting applications for graduate teaching and research assistant positions. The positions include a $1,510 monthly stipend and a tuition waiver. Graduate students with experience in Java, Python, C++, and Microsoft Office skills are needed to assist in the computer labs. Research assistants are needed to assist professors with projects, and those duties could include coding, data analysis, etc...
