The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing and determining the strategy for providing conceptual and preliminary payload planning. This will focus on overall customer needs and focused on designs, performance, technology maturity, solution on ramps, integration with elements of the weapon system and overall accountability. The role also involves managing Internal Research and Development in support of Strategic Deterrence, overseeing requests for information and requests for proposals, and being accountable for cost, schedule, risk, technical performance, and subcontract management. Strong communication with internal and external customers is required, with the ability to act as the primary customer contact. The manager will participate in the overall generation and communication of status and operating performance, establish milestones, monitor performance, schedule, risks, and obtain solutions for fluctuating resource requirements. Additionally, the position entails directing and providing overall leadership of the employees supporting the program tasking, assembling/expanding a team with relevant skills to accomplish program objectives, and attracting, developing, and maintaining a diverse workforce while fostering an inclusive environment.
