Summer Activity Camp: Futsal / Indoor Soccer Instructor (Miller CC)
About The Position
Associated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is seeking a qualified Futsal / Indoor Soccer Camp Instructor to lead youth futsal (indoor soccer) camps at Miller. Kick off the summer with Futsal Camp. This exciting, fast-paced version of soccer is played around the world. Instructors will work with participants to enhance their skills on the field while emphasizing teamwork, skill development, and scrimmaging. Hourly Wage: $27.00–$28.50Status: Part-time, Seasonal Location – Miller Community Center Schedule Monday – Friday Camp session options may include: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Experience coaching or instructing soccer, futsal, or similar youth sports programs
- Experience working with children in a recreational or camp setting
- Ability to manage groups in a positive and supportive manner
Responsibilities
- Instruct participants in fundamental futsal and indoor soccer skills
- Lead drills, skill-building activities, and scrimmages
- Supervise participants and maintain a positive and inclusive camp environment
- Set up and break down equipment and activity areas
- Communicate effectively with ARC staff and site supervisors
- Follow ARC and Seattle Parks and Recreation policies and procedures
