About The Position

By working at Yellowstone National Park, you will get all three! As the Furniture Refinisher, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day functions that keep the park running smoothly. Job Summary: The furniture refinisher will assist other team members in various projects, including the fabrication of furniture items, production of wooden signs, and repair and refinishing tasks. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a clean work environment, moving furniture and equipment, and supporting other departments as needed. Flexibility to assist with function setups and additional duties is also expected.

Requirements

Ability to operate woodworking tools including power and hand tools.
Ability to operate commercial spraying equipment.
Ability to perform assigned tasks to assure quality finished products in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

Assisting in the fabrication of small in-house furniture projects such as dining room tray jacks, guest unit luggage racks, and picture frames.
Assisting the Sign Maker with the production of routed wooden signs.
Assisting in the repair and refinishing of furniture used in the concession operation and completing all furniture renovation projects as assigned.
Assisting the Upholsterer with re-weaving cane furniture.
Maintaining a clean, safe, well-organized work area.
Assisting with the physical movement of furniture, fixtures, and equipment as
May be asked to help out with function set-ups and breakdowns, Print Shop finish work as well as other duties as assigned.
