About The Position

We are seeking to add a talented Furniture Project Manager to our Studio 109 Designs team located in Pittsburgh, PA. Objectives of this Role The Furniture Project Manager will oversee furniture projects from order placement through installation and closeout. This position works closely with our Furniture Designer, coordinates with manufacturers, installers, and job sites to manage scheduling, confirm site readiness, prepare installation documentation, and support successful installations.

Requirements

  • Two to five years of experience in design and/or furniture dealership experience is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field is preferred
  • Occasional travel to job sites in various locations with overnight stays (25%)
  • Proficiency in CET/Configura, Project Spec/Matrix, M365 Apps (Words, Excel, etc.) and Windows Operating System, Adobe Suite, Revit and AutoCAD
  • Strong design sense and aesthetics
  • Knowledge of space layout, furnishings and finishes
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings is preferred
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Enter furniture orders into an organized management system
  • Review specifications, pricing, finishes, quantities, and dealer discounts for accuracy
  • Generate and submit purchase orders to manufacturers
  • Verify acknowledgements, lead times and production details
  • Process revisions, add-ons and change orders
  • Maintain organized order documentation and revision history
  • Track order status and follow up on delay issues with site and manufacturer
  • Resolve order errors, shortages or damaged claims with vendors
  • Coordinate installation, write work orders, and manage scheduling changes
  • Confirm site readiness, access requirements and company site standard requirements for installation subcontractors
  • Prepare installation packets, drawings and product lists
  • Manage punch list and post-installation adjustments
  • Review invoices for accuracy against purchase orders and acknowledgements
  • Assist with billing, closeout documentation and job cost tracking
  • Maintain detailed project files for auditing and future reference
  • Verify compliance with drawing and finish approvals
