About The Position

The Fundraising Manager supports and coordinates TLC’s development and donor engagement efforts. This includes managing donor relations, giving campaigns, events, database systems, and fundraising communications. The role helps shape public perception of TLC as a national leader in services for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals and requires a relationship-driven, organized professional who shares TLC’s mission. ASL is the primary language of communication at TLC.

Requirements

  • A minimum of conversational fluency in American Sign Language preferred, willingness to learn required
  • At least 3 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or marketing
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and time management skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and donor CRM systems
  • Ability to analyze fundraising data and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
  • Availability for evening/weekend events, and travel as needed
  • ASL Classes may be required based on ASL fluency

Responsibilities

  • Identify and cultivate donor prospects, including major gifts, through research and outreach.
  • Develop and implement fundraising campaigns aligned with organizational goals.
  • Support storytelling for campaigns, social media, newsletters, and grants.
  • Plan and execute events (galas, races, auctions, donor events) on time and within budget.
  • Maintain donor communication and stewardship through personalized outreach and impact updates.
  • Collaborate with leadership and program staff to strengthen donor relationships.
  • Manage and support fundraising volunteers.
  • Track, analyze, and report on fundraising metrics and trends.
  • Represent TLC to external stakeholders with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Some lifting may be required.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Department Supervisor and/or Program Leader.
