The Fund Finance Portfolio/Sales Associate is responsible for supporting new business activity and ongoing portfolio management for Fund Finance relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in commercial banking, credit support, portfolio management, fund administration, or a related financial services role.
  • Working knowledge of credit documentation, underwriting support processes, and portfolio monitoring.
  • Familiarity with treasury management products, deposit operations, and client onboarding workflows.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data and present clear insights.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to regulatory, compliance, and risk management standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal partners and external clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and workflows in a fast-paced, deal-oriented environment.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret fund structures, LP data, borrowing base mechanics, and portfolio metrics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to learn and navigate banking systems and credit platforms such as nCino and related portfolio tools.
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to build effective working relationships across sales, credit, treasury, risk, and operations teams.
  • Self-directed and proactive, with the ability to operate effectively with limited supervision.
  • Ability to communicate in person, on the phone, and through electronic channels.
  • Ability to use a computer on a frequent basis, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor.
  • Ability to sit, walk, and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend and reach.
  • Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports.
  • This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer. This can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to fund finance, subscription lending, private capital, or complex commercial credit structures.
  • Experience supporting relationship managers, portfolio managers, or sales teams in a client-facing or portfolio support capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of coordination for client and prospect documentation requests, including follow-up to ensure timely and complete responses.
  • Design, maintain, and manage standardized diligence request templates for credit and treasury needs, including prescreen, underwriting, and post-closing stages.
  • Review diligence materials for completeness and accuracy; identify gaps and coordinate resolution with internal partners and clients.
  • Establish and maintain secure document repositories (e.g., GlobalScape and SharePoint), ensuring consistent organization, reconciliation, and naming conventions.
  • Partner with Relationship Managers, Treasury Management Sales Officers, and Portfolio Managers to ensure accuracy of pipeline reporting, key milestones, fundings, and closings.
  • Build and maintain accurate relationships, households, and opportunities within nCino and related systems.
  • Support Portfolio Managers and Relationship Managers with credit-related processes, including underwriting support and annual servicing.
  • Maintain and reconcile Limited Partner (LP) data, including subscription agreements, capital commitments, exclusions, and guarantees.
  • Track borrowing base availability and ensure consistency with borrower capital tables and governing documentation.
  • Support quarterly and annual portfolio reviews, credit reviews, and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with Treasury Management and Operations teams to facilitate deposit account openings and implementation of treasury services.
  • Monitor account opening exceptions and work with internal partners to resolve outstanding items.
  • Support Treasury Navigator implementations and ongoing servicing needs as required.
  • Complete Customer Acceptance Program (CAP) pre-approval forms and submissions, including foreign loan borrowing documentation.
  • Track enhanced due diligence requirements related to foreign LPs, PEPs, AML policies, and other risk-related items.
  • Assist with monitoring maturing loans, past dues, covenant reporting, and collateral exceptions, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Support responses to internal credit, risk, or audit inquiries.
  • Reconcile data across loan systems, treasury platforms, and reporting tools.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives related to Fund Finance portfolio management, reporting enhancements, and process improvements.
  • Periodically accompany Relationship Managers on client or prospect calls, as requested.
  • Take ownership of all tasks and challenges that they encounter in the operation of their assigned position.
