About The Position

Do you have a passion for working with children and families? Spurwink is looking for compassionate, dedicated individuals who want to empower youth and families by creating strength-based behavior change that will be sustained long after treatment ends. You will receive evidenced-based training in the Functional Family Therapy (FFT) model as you work with families. Extensive research has proven the effectiveness of FFT. You will empower families to address challenging and/or problematic behavior and to help youth aged 10 - 18 make life-transforming changes. The course of FFT treatment is 3-6 months. This position includes an $5,000 sign-on bonus paid in 4 installments of $1250 paid upon ninety days, six months, nine months, and one year of full-time employment. This sign-on bonus applies to new hires. You may be eligible for additional compensation by exceeding billable and model fidelity expectations.

Requirements

  • LCSW, LMSW-cc, LCPC, LCPC-c, LMFT, or LMFT-c
  • New grads encouraged to apply!
  • The job requires the willingness and availability to work a flexible schedule including late afternoons or evenings.
  • You'll provide counseling in families' homes, in an office-based setting and via telehealth.
  • Mileage is reimbursed.
  • You will receive on-the-job training and intensive weekly individual and group supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical treatment using the FFT treatment model and principles. Some principles include leveraging strengths and focusing on the positive, interrupting blame and negativity in family meetings, and changing focus and reframing as necessary to name a few.
