We are seeking a Functional Advantage Financial Analyst / Finance Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our growing team. This role is critical in helping government agencies modernize their financial operations and adopt CGI Advantage Financial Management. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in public sector financial processes along with excellent communication and solution building skills. As the Finance SME, you will lead client facing solution discussions, deliver impactful demonstrations, support RFP/RFI development, and collaborate with technical and delivery teams to shape successful implementations. You will play a visible and influential role bridging your finance expertise with CGI Advantage product knowledge to guide clients through transformation journeys that improve accountability, transparency, and operational efficiency across their financial ecosystems. Requirements

7 to 10 years of proven experience in presales, solution engineering, or consulting for SaaS platforms or ERP systems.
Strong understanding of public sector finance processes, including: o Fund accounting o General ledger and subledger operations o Encumbrances, obligations, and commitments o Accounts payable, receivable, and cash management o Grants and project accounting o Financial reporting (GASB, state-specific standards)
Demonstrated success preparing RFP/RFI responses and solution proposals.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences.
Strong collaboration, interpersonal skills, and a team-first mindset.

Nice To Haves

Experience with government operational processes (Finance, HR, Procurement) is a plus.
Experience with analytics/reporting tools such as Power BI for financial performance visualization.
Ability to configure and present demo environments tailored to financial scenarios.

Responsibilities

Lead client-facing presentations and workshops highlighting CGI Advantage Financial Management.
Deliver tailored demos across key public sector finance functions, including general ledger, AP/AR, fund accounting, encumbrance control, grants/project accounting, cash management, and financial reporting/compliance.
Serve as the finance SME for RFP/RFI responses, ensuring alignment with government financial requirements.
Partner with sales/proposal teams to develop solution narratives, pricing, and implementation approaches.
Support bid defenses and client Q&A by clearly articulating CGI Advantage Financials’ value.
Analyze client financial processes, gaps, and modernization goals.
Design finance solution architectures integrating CGI Advantage with ERP, HR, procurement, and revenue systems.
Support API-based integration planning (Azure preferred) and ensure alignment with public sector standards, including chart of accounts, internal controls, audit readiness, cost allocation, and regulatory compliance.
Build strong relationships with finance, accounting, and IT stakeholders across government agencies.
Lead discovery sessions and translate requirements into actionable financial system designs.
Serve as a key liaison between clients and CGI product/delivery teams to ensure financial requirements and enhancements are met.
