About The Position

CONDITIONS: $16.75 Per Hour, 7.5 hours per day 180 Work Days, days students are in session Times may be determined by building principal

Requirements

• Substitute Teaching Permit/Indiana Teaching License
• High School Diploma or equivalent considered
• Successful Safe Hiring Solutions Extensive Background Check
• Completion of Substitute Teacher Packet along with mandatory Internet Based Training
• Successful experience working with school-aged children
• Completed online application and successful interview with Principal

Nice To Haves

• College degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Follow the regular teachers' lesson plans and maintain discipline in the classroom at a level in which learning can take place
• Expectation is that these two responsibilities will be carried out in a climate of respect and caring for the students
• A substitute may cover several different content areas during a day, so the candidate must be flexible and able to adapt to various environments.
• Other duties as assigned by Principal
