About The Position

The Goddard School of Norwood is seeking a reliable, organized, and energetic Full-Time School Assistant to join our team! This position plays an essential role in supporting our teachers, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and helping ensure our school runs smoothly each day. If you enjoy working in a school setting, supporting young children, and being part of a collaborative team, we would love to meet you! Schedule Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Full-Time Position

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced school environment
Team-oriented and dependable
Comfortable working around young children

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a school or childcare setting preferred (but not required)

Responsibilities

Kitchen & Food Preparation
Wash, prepare, and cut fresh fruit for morning and afternoon snacks
Clean and sanitize snack bins daily
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
Heat and distribute lunches during scheduled lunch times
Complete required Food Handlers course and maintain food safety standards
School Operations & Organization
Maintain the school supply closet
Keep accurate records of supplies needed for ordering
Distribute supplies to teachers as requested
Ensure shared spaces are clean and organized
Classroom Support
Assist in classrooms as needed
Provide bathroom breaks for teachers
Help relieve teachers for scheduled lunch breaks
Support staff and students throughout the building wherever assistance is needed
Training & Compliance
Complete all required trainings for working in a licensed childcare facility, including food handling certification
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation policies
