HN392 - Full-Time Nanny - SoHo, NYC
About The Position
A family in SoHo, NY is seeking an experienced, reliable, and warm full-time nanny to care for their 3 children, aged 4, 7 and 10 years. The schedule will be 7am-5pm OR 11am-9pm Wednesday through Friday (must be flexible to work either hourly schedule), then 8am on Saturday through 5pm on Sunday (overnight stay required and all hours will be paid). The total hours will be 63 weekly: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for 30 hours spread over those 3 days. For the weekend schedule, it is Saturday at 8am through Sunday at 5pm (33 hours). The ideal candidate is attentive, proactive, and comfortable with a schedule that includes extended weekend hours and an overnight stay.
Requirements
- US passport, Green Card or EAC
- Minimum of 5 years’ professional nanny experience (with multiples/siblings, not just 1 child in their care but 2-3+ for bulk of roles). Ideally 2+ years in each role.
- Prior experience with overnight care strongly preferred
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
- Strong references from previous childcare positions
- Punctual, dependable, and comfortable working in a private home in NYC
- Must be able to swim
- Local candidates only; must be in the NYC area
- Must be able to work holidays if needed

Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care
- Manage daily routines including meals, naps, playtime, and outings
- Plan age-appropriate activities that support learning and development
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for the children
- Assist with child-related housekeeping (laundry, tidying play areas)
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding schedules, milestones, and needs
- Accompany the family on local outings as needed
- Prepare snacks for the children
Benefits
- $45/hour + overtime after 40 hours; hourly rate overnight is $30 from 12am-5am; total projected annual compensation is $164,580 (40 hours at $45/hour, 5 hours at $30/hour [overnight pay], and 18 hours $67.50 [overtime rate]).
