About The Position

Hello Nanny! is assisting a warm, professional family in Philadelphia, PA, in finding an experienced full-time nanny to care for their toddler and newborn. This family values a nurturing, respectful approach to childcare and is seeking someone who can provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care while maintaining a structured, safe, and engaging environment for the children. The role also includes supporting the household with child-related tasks to ensure smooth daily routines. This is a long-term position for a family seeking consistency, reliability, and an experienced caregiver who can grow with the children. While the family currently resides in Philadelphia, they are planning to relocate within the next six months to a home approximately 15 minutes away, so flexibility and willingness to help with the transition is ideal.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of professional childcare experience, with at least 1 year in a private home
  • Fluent in English; additional language skills a plus
  • Pediatric Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent certification from AHA, ARC, or verifiable organization
  • CPR & First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
  • Driver's license OR state ID card
  • Minimum age: 21 years old
  • Non-smoker
  • Fully vaccinated, including flu and COVID-19, with proof of a negative TB test prior to start
  • Work authorization in the U.S.
  • Ability to pass an extensive criminal and background check
  • Willing to make a 1-year commitment for long-term employment

  • Adaptable and flexible as duties naturally evolve with the children’s development and family needs
  • Willing to help the family transition smoothly into their new home within the same area
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, providing clear updates and guidance to parents
  • Committed to a long-term placement to ensure stability and continuity for the children

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for the toddler and newborn
  • Manage daily routines, including feeding, bottles, diapering, sleep schedules, and soothing
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to foster cognitive, social, emotional, and motor skill development
  • Maintain accurate logs of meals, naps, and developmental milestones
  • Supervise outings and accompany the family via walking, public transportation, or as a passenger in the family’s vehicle (no driving required)
  • Laundry and tidying related to children
  • Maintain organized, clean, and safe nursery and play areas
  • Weekly cleaning of children’s rooms and shared spaces
  • Light meal preparation for children only
  • Assist with childcare-related household tasks as requested
