British American Household StaffingWoodside, CA

About The Position

A respectful, close-knit, and growing family in Woodside, CA is seeking an experienced, collaborative Mandarin-speaking nanny to join a well-established nanny team in caring for their 3 children (ages 8, 6, and 2 years). This is a long-term opportunity for a professional who thrives in a staffed home, values teamwork, and is deeply invested in supporting children’s growth and development across all areas, not just meeting their daily needs. The family is continuing to grow and is expecting their fourth child in late April 2026. There will eventually be a team of four nannies, with each nanny rotating on a 5 days on / 5 days off and 2 days on / 2 days off schedule. Weekends will rotate as part of the rota and flexibility is essential. The family makes every effort to communicate travel plans in advance; however, last-minute travel should be expected. When travel extends beyond a scheduled rotation, schedules will be adjusted accordingly. Overnight care may be required when the parents are traveling. How the Family think about this role: This role goes beyond keeping children safe, fed, and on schedule. They are looking for someone who genuinely cares about helping their children grow into capable, kind, and confident people. They believe the small, daily moments matter; how they speak to the children, how limits are set, how frustration is handled, how independence is encouraged, and how respect for people and shared spaces is taught. The right nanny will be thoughtful about their communication, consistent in their expectations, and intentional in how they guide the children through both easy and challenging moments. This is a role for someone who takes pride in being an active partner in a child’s development and understands that how they show up each day has a lasting impact. Household & Team Dynamic This is a team-oriented household supported by a strong, collaborative culture. Nannies work closely together and alongside other household team members to support the family as a whole. While childcare is the primary focus, this is very much a “no silos” environment. Team members step in wherever is needed to keep the household running smoothly, whether that’s helping keep shared spaces tidy, supporting children with routines, or assisting with meal preparation for the children. The family leads an active, health-focused lifestyle and values outdoor play, movement, and age-appropriate independence.
