About The Position
A warm, highly engaged family based on the Upper East Side is seeking a full-time live-in nanny to care for their four children, ages 5, 3.5, 2, and 6 months.The three oldest children are in school during the day. This is a team-oriented role within a well-supported home, and the ideal candidate is comfortable collaborating with other caregivers while maintaining consistency and professionalism.This is a Monday through Friday position from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with live-in coverage required three nights per week (ideally Tuesday - Thursday though flexible). A private bedroom and bathroom are provided. The schedule offers meaningful downtime during school hours, and the family values a nanny who uses that time pro-actively and thoughtfully. The home is structured, loving, and deeply invested in raising respectful, emotionally regulated children. The family is seeking someone who sees nannying not as a job, but as a chosen profession and long-term career path. They hope to find someone who will grow with their family for years to come. Hiring time-line is ASAP, though they are committed to waiting for the right long-term fit.
Requirements
- Extensive experience caring for multiple children, ideally in structured private homes.
- Deep knowledge of child development, early childhood education, and illness awareness.
- Calm, emotionally regulated, and naturally nurturing presence.
- Professional, discreet, and polished in demeanor.
- Comfortable holding firm boundaries without harshness.
- Seeking a long-term role and committed to growing with one family over time.
- Willingness to live in during designated nights (private accommodations provided).
- Comfortable working in partnership with hands-on parents.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Strong references and background screening required.

Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for four young children.
- Maintain calm, firm, and respectful boundaries.
- Support afternoon transitions during the busiest hours of the day (approximately 4:00–6:00 PM).
- Engage children in age-appropriate educational activities and teach social graces and manners.
- Prepare simple meals and assist with light child-related tidying.
- Use daytime downtime pro-actively for organization and preparation.
- Maintain a peaceful, structured home environment rooted in trust and consistency.
