About The Position

A private couple in San Francisco, CA is seeking a full-time housekeeper to support the daily operations and cleanliness of their 10,000 sq. ft. residence. The role requires someone proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing fluctuating household needs. The general schedule will be Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm. The family is open to some flexibility for arrival and departure times. This is an excellent opportunity for a polished, proactive professional seeking a long-term role in a well-managed private household. The position is open only to local candidates, please.

Requirements

  • Must be comfortable signing an NDA
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Comfortable with texting and basic tech
  • Local to the area and within reasonable commuting distance
  • Legal to work in the U.S.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to provide clear, proactive updates
  • Highly observant with strong attention to detail
  • Professional, upbeat, and easygoing personality
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Honest and transparent communicator—comfortable acknowledging when clarification is needed rather than making assumptions
  • Patient, discreet, and emotionally intelligent

  • Ability to work autonomously with little direction

Responsibilities

  • Full-charge housekeeping, including daily cleaning and upkeep of a large residence
  • Laundry and garment care, including ironing, hand-washing, label reading, and coordinating dry cleaning
  • Managing linens, including weekly changes and ensuring guest rooms are fully prepared
  • Running household errands, including grocery shopping, FedEx/returns, and last-minute requests
  • Light meal prep, including preparing a simple breakfast and basic vegetable prep
  • Maintaining organization and cleanliness throughout the home, especially during periods when the principals are traveling (deep cleaning and project work)
  • Observing and reporting household needs, including broken or missing items
  • Communicating with EA to ensure cohesiveness among staff to ensure the home is running smoothly
