About The Position

Saint Paul College invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Computer Science. Position responsibilities, knowledge, and abilities: Provide classroom instruction, evaluate and advise Computer Science students Be an integral part of the program review and assessment process. This includes (but not limited to): to develop and/or revise program learning outcomes and curriculum to support the outcomes develop curriculum maps for both College and Program Learning Outcomes and assessment plans that measure student learning collect assessment of student learning data and assessment of student learning data and other data provided for Program Review Participate in department meetings, program advisory committee meetings, and college-wide events Maintain technical knowledge in the field through active participation in professional development organizations and events Promote and recruit programs within and outside of the College; Promote diversity and cultural competency Perform other duties as assigned by the Academic Dean or Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs

Requirements

  • Education Requirement Master's degree with a major in computer science, OR Master's degree in any discipline/field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in computer science

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of community college teaching experience
  • Previous teaching experience in an urban two-year college
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and with a variety of people as a team member
  • Knowledge of multi-cultural, gender- and disability-fair curriculum development
  • Ability to work with a diverse student body with a broad range of interests and abilities
  • Experience with course construction, curriculum development and classroom management
  • Experience with web-enhanced and on-line course teaching with the D2L Platform

Responsibilities
