The Boeing Maritime Undersea Software Engineering organization is seeking a innovative, results-oriented Full-Stack Software Engineer to join the Cobalt Charger team in Herndon, VA. modernizing core systems and building web interfaces for high-impact defense applications. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security business organization and requires an active TS/SCI security clearance. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate and Experienced Level Software Engineers. Within the Boeing Defense - Electronics and Intelligence Systems (E&IS) organization, the Cobalt Charger team performs mission critical functionality for our customer. This position is part of a software development team that is modernizing a legacy solution into a modern container-based mi croservice architecture to produce custom navigation solutions in the most demanding environments. Modernize Systems. Protect Missions. The candidate will develop web-based React user interface components as part of the solution. A successful candidate will collaborate with the Boeing Software Enterprise to embrace software best practices, standards, and initiatives which position the Cobalt Charger team to efficiently bring rapid innovation and the quality that customers seek from Boeing. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options, Herndon, VA.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI
- 3+ years of experience with web-based development, leveraging ReactJS, Redux, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS
Nice To Haves
- 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- 3 or more years of React-based web development framework experience
- Experience with Grafana data visualization framework
- Experience with containerized applications and the Kubernetes orchestration environment
Responsibilities
- Develop software source code, unit tests, and documentation for assigned tasks
- Participate in daily Scrum team meetings for tasking status and prioritization
- Perform peer code reviews and software checkouts
- Perform software design reviews and create tasking backlog
- Perform software testing and defect tracking
