About The Position

OPTIVATIONS is a PE-backed, full-service marketplace management firm and one of the largest multi-brand sellers on the Amazon marketplace. We are a fact-based, highly analytical firm with a consultative approach to problem-solving, project management, communication, and performance management. The Full Stack Engineer joins the tech team alongside BI Developers, a DevOps Engineer, and a Tech Lead. This role is more focused on backend development. They will dedicate significant time to writing Python, building automation, and improving the data infrastructure. The ideal candidate is highly proactive and thrives in an autonomous environment, taking ownership of projects and driving initiatives without constant direction. This is an on-site position. The Full Stack Engineer will be embedded with the team and involved in the systems that maintain data flow and smooth operations.

Requirements

6+ years of experience in a software engineering or backend-focused role
Strong proficiency in Python
Solid understanding of type safety and its importance in maintainable code
Experience with Git—branching strategies, code reviews, and collaborative workflows
Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools
Strong documentation habits and a knack for keeping code organized and readable

Nice To Haves

Experience with Airflow or similar orchestration tools
Experience with Airbyte or building custom data connectors
TypeScript or JavaScript experience
Exposure to data engineering concepts and ETL/ELT patterns
Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)

Responsibilities

Build and maintain backend services and automation scripts, primarily in Python
Develop reporting automation to reduce manual work and improve accuracy
Create and optimize data ingestion pipelines
Write and maintain Airflow DAGs for pipeline orchestration
Work with standard Airbyte connectors and build custom connectors as needed
Collaborate with BI Developers to ensure clean, reliable data flows
Help develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
Ensure code quality through testing, linting, and automated checks
Contribute to infrastructure improvements alongside our DevOps Engineer
Occasional frontend work to support internal tools and dashboards
