About The Position

We are hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer who builds software the way it will be built for the next decade—AI-first. This is not a traditional “write every line by hand” engineering role. At WebBank, our engineers are architects and orchestrators of AI-generated code. You will use tools like Claude Code, Google Antigravity, Cursor, GitHub, Copilot, and other AI-native development environments as your primary coding interfaces—guiding AI to produce, refactor, test, and document code while you focus on system design, quality assurance, and solving the problems that matter most. You’ll sit at the heart of WebBank’s transformation into a modern, AI-driven institution. You’ll work closely with our Product Manager and business teams to modernize internal tools, improve testing and deployment pipelines, and bring next-generation AI capabilities into the Bank. If you believe the future of engineering is directing intelligence rather than typing syntax, we want to talk to you. What We Mean by “AI-First Engineering” We don’t just use AI as a side tool—it’s central to how we work. At WebBank, our engineers: Prompt, iterate, and curate rather than write code from scratch. You treat AI coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and Google Antigravity as your primary development partners. Architect and review the code AI produces, applying deep engineering judgment to ensure correctness, security, and maintainability. Automate relentlessly. If a workflow can be handled by an AI agent, you build and deploy that agent rather than performing the task manually. Stay on the frontier. You actively explore new AI tools, models, and frameworks—and bring what you learn back to the team. This is a foundational position in WebBank’s internal technology transformation. You won’t just be a developer—you’ll help define how software gets built at WebBank in the age of AI. Your work will directly impact how the Bank operates, innovates, and scales into the future. If you’re ready to grow into a full-stack engineer, cloud architect, and AI-native builder all in one role, we want to hear from you.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science (or equivalent technical field).
  • Demonstrated experience using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Google Antigravity, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, or similar) as a regular part of your development workflow—not just experimentation, but real output.
  • Solid foundation in software development with JavaScript/TypeScript and willingness to deepen skills in Node.js, React, and PrimeReact.
  • Ability to critically evaluate, debug, and improve AI-generated code—you know when the AI is wrong and can fix it.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and a “figure it out” attitude.
  • Strong curiosity and motivation to master AWS, DevOps, and AI engineering.

Nice To Haves

  • A portfolio or examples that showcase AI-assisted development work.
  • Prior exposure to AWS or cloud computing.
  • Experience with prompt engineering, agentic coding workflows, or building on top of LLM APIs.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, libraries, and APIs.
  • Experience in fintech, banking, or other compliance-heavy environments.

Responsibilities

  • Use Claude Code, Google Antigravity, GitHub Copilot, and similar AI coding tools as your day-to-day development environment—writing prompts, reviewing AI-generated output, and iterating toward production-quality code.
  • Develop and refine prompt engineering techniques and workflows that maximize code quality, consistency, and speed.
  • Evaluate new AI development tools as they emerge and champion adoption of the best ones across the engineering team.
  • Build and enhance web applications using Node.js, React, and PrimeReact - leveraging AI tooling to accelerate delivery while maintaining high code quality.
  • Develop scalable, well-tested, and maintainable code through a combination of AI-assisted generation and rigorous human review.
  • Focus on user experience and design features with high internal value.
  • Become an expert at WebBank’s cloud infrastructure—designing secure, compliant, and scalable systems.
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines (Terraform) to improve testing and deployment practices.
  • Progress toward becoming an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (with WebBank support).
  • Learn and apply AI tools, frameworks, and ecosystems like Hugging Face, AWS pre-trained AI services, and LLM APIs (Google, Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.) to build AI-powered solutions.
  • Perform R&D to fine-tune and train models for internal use cases.
  • Collaborate with teams across the Bank to identify opportunities for automation and intelligence.
  • Support the adoption of AI-native development practices by creating documentation, prompt libraries, and lightweight training aids.
  • Help teammates become more fluent in using AI tools—both for coding and for their broader workflows.
