Target Start Date: June 1, 2026 - August 14, 2026 (11-week program) Note: This internship position requires you to be on-site for varied shifts at the Staples Fulfillment Center/SDO in Coppell, TX. Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Must be a rising junior or graduating no later than May 2028
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables

Responsibilities

  • Support safety inspections, hazard identification, and 5S assessments.
  • Assist in incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
  • Participate in safety training initiatives and materials updates.
  • Participate in GEMBA walks with operations leadership to observe processes, identify risks, and support real‑time safety improvements.
  • Maintain and improve EHS documentation and compliance logs.
  • Support ergonomics evaluations and risk‑reduction projects.
  • Assist with safety reporting, metrics, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Engage in associate safety engagement programs.
