Requirements

  • Has a basic understanding of equipment
  • Acceptable driving record with no violations or accidents in the last 3 years
  • Must pass DOT drug screen and MVR check
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor, physically demanding environments
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a professional, safety-focused mindset
  • Willingness to work varying hours including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with diesel fuel systems, grease points, and fluid service intervals
  • Understanding of DOT and OSHA requirements for vehicle and equipment operations

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance like oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and tire rotations, while also greasing equipment, cleaning engine parts, assisting senior mechanics with repairs, maintaining tools, documenting work, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Refuel, grease, and top off fluids on earthmoving and heavy construction equipment
  • Perform routine fluid inspections and preventative maintenance tasks
  • Conduct and log pre- and post-trip inspections on service truck per DOT regulations
  • Maintain accurate fuel/lube usage logs and service records
  • Load/unload parts, fluids, and other materials safely and efficiently
  • Identify and report fluid leaks or abnormal machine conditions
  • Communicate effectively with operations, shop personnel, and purchasing teams
  • Comply with company Health & Safety Program, OSHA regulations, and DOT standards
  • Travel between job sites throughout the Southwest region
