About The Position

Swissport Fueling Inc, located In Raleigh, North Carolina has an exciting administrative opportunity available for immediate employment. The Fuel Inventory Controller is responsible for overseeing the on-time inventory accounting procedures at each of Swissport’s Maintenance and Operation (M&O) and Intoplane fueling activities. Responsible for the local training of personnel to maintain positive inventories of all fuel supply holders. Responsible for investigating inventory variances for all fuels products. Responsible for the training of Intoplane Operations ticket reconciliation procedures. Ensuring timely billing of all stations is accomplished within 48 hours of month end. Must follow A4A Spec 123 accounting standards for fuel accounting. The expected pay rate is $130k/yr. Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of Fuel Inventory & Accounting experience, preferred.
  • Knowledge of Varec Fuels Manger, QT, FuelMaster and FleetConnect preferred.
  • Working understanding of into-plane operations and Fuel Facility logistics strongly preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required & Accounting/Management higher education is desirable.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Must have above average math skills.
  • Able to Multitask.
  • Able to adjust schedule to be available for Month End closeouts questions.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have professional phone & email etiquette.
  • Self-driven and highly motivated.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and implement corporate policies and procedures to standardize fuel accounting and related operational practices across Swissport.
  • Enhance accuracy and timeliness of fuel data reporting across all locations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g. ATA 123, etc.).
  • Directs stations in daily and monthly Fuel inventory and transaction inquiries.
  • Setting up a governance framework to monitor and enforce compliance with the established policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties on system integration or technology upgrades related to fuel accounting.
  • Provides sound principles in maintaining positive fuel inventories for airlines and suppliers.
  • Provides tolls for accurate fuel inventory and usage forecasting.
  • Provides sound principles in how to coordinate tank inspection down time with Facility managers and drawdown principles associated.
  • Directs Intoplane admin operations to ensure accurate accounting of fuel transactions.
  • Direct and guide stations in building Month End reports to supply them to Airlines & Inventory holders.
  • Teaches appropriate document retention practices with each station.
  • Directs yearly Budget preparation and analysis as it relates to inventory.
  • Provides sounds principles around Inventory Forecasts to Consortium.
  • Works in concert with the M&O and Finance Director’s during budget reconciliation.
