About The Position

As a Quality Assurance Technician 5, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of product quality and plant systems. Your key responsibilities will include: Conduct Inspections: Perform thorough physical and visual inspections of our products and plant systems to ensure everything meets our high standards. Document & Report: Accurately document and calculate inspection results and report your findings to management. Take Action: Proactively take corrective actions, when necessary, by alerting the appropriate personnel to adjust processes, and identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products. Collaborate: Work closely with your team and management to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to safety standards. Additional Assignments: Be ready to take on any additional tasks that come your way, contributing to the overall success of our operations.

Requirements

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in a FSQA role preferred or other QA type experience.
  • Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Will interact with USDA and other points of contact.
  • Special Skills: Proficiency in completing Tyson paperwork.
  • Leadership abilities to motivate the hourly workforce.
  • Strong problem identification and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid math and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
  • Ability to function well under stress.
  • Flexibility to work in various locations and schedules as needed.
  • Physical Requirements: Position involves heavy lifting (40 lbs. or more). May include lifting, standing, and walking for long periods of time.
