About The Position

Join our team as an FSQA Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Your responsibilities will include: Performing physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems. Documenting and calculating results accurately. Taking corrective action when necessary, such as alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting results to management. Handling additional assignments as requested. At Tyson Foods, safety is paramount. This includes both personal safety and food safety.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience.
  • Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Special Skills: Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork.
  • Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce.
  • Good problem identification and problem-solving skills.
  • Math and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
  • Must function well under stress.
  • Must have flexibility to work where and when needed.
  • Physical Requirements: Position involves heavy lifting (70 lbs).
  • Position Specific Requirements: Must reside in the United States to be considered.
  • Sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Local candidates will be given priority.
  • Must not have 4 or more attendance points for locations on an 8 point policy (on application date)
  • No written warning in the past six (6) months
  • No suspension on record for the last 12 months
