Thanks for your commitment to Tyson Foods. Management Level: Class 46 Summary: This position is responsible for performing physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems. Documenting and calculating results accurately. Taking corrective action when necessary (alert appropriate personnel to adjust process; identify, segregate, and isolate non-conforming product). Reporting results to management. Any additional assignments requested. All team members are responsible for safety, which includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety. The capability of communication with management and FSQA team through radio. The ability to work in all departments of the plant that involve beef, pork, or grinds (either beef or mixed beef and pork).

Requirements

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in the Fresh Meats industry or other QA-type experience required.
  • Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Special Skills: Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce; good problem identification and problem-solving skills; math and organizational skills; ability to read and interpret product specifications; must function well under stress; must have flexibility to work where and when needed.
  • Physical Requirements: Position involves heavy lifting (70 lbs. or more).
  • Internal disqualifiers are the following: 6 attendance points Any suspension on record for the last 12 months
