About The Position

The FSQA Supervisor plays a pivotal role in upholding quality standards for our food products. This role involves engaging in variable work activities that demand sound judgment, including prioritization, result evaluation, and effective coordination with colleagues. The position is responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards of products produced on a specific shift.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 1 year in a food manufacturing environment required.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • HACCP/HARPC certifications are preferred, along with broad knowledge of HACCP, USDA, GMP, and SSOPs.
  • Basic computer skills for creating simple queries and spreadsheets. SAP knowledge preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Bilingual abilities are a plus.
  • This position is responsible for supervising a small group of personnel who perform somewhat similar tasks.
  • Must reside in the United States to be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Lead FSQA technicians on their assigned shift.
  • Ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Conduct audits and assist the FSQA manager in ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Prepare the facility for GFSI and customer-specific audits.
  • Investigate and address customer complaints, foreign material incidents, and environmental issues.
  • Verify production paperwork and conduct production floor checks.
  • Execute audits to ensure cleanliness and adherence to GMP standards.
  • Oversee the annual reassessment of HACCP.
  • Facilitate Team Member food safety training.
  • Flexibility in work hours is required, with coverage on other shifts as needed.
  • Occasional weekend work may be assigned by the Manager.
  • Communicate with onsite regulators (USDA).
