About The Position

The FSQ Specialist is responsible for the execution and technical support, effectiveness and continuous improvement of Gehl Food & Beverage Companies’ Food Safety and Quality Management (FSQ) Systems and its processes, regulatory compliance, FSQ and Regulatory compliance aspects of the relationship with Customers assuring the manufacturing and trade of safe food and beverage products in conformance with customer requirements, and in compliance with domestic and international markets regulations including compliance with certification.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Quality Assurance and Food Safety experience in the food or beverage industry
  • Experience with regulatory requirements in food or beverage manufacturing
  • Experience supporting GFSI certification
  • Ability to enforce Quality and Food Safety policies and procedures
  • ASQ CQE certification or progress toward certification
  • Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Allergen Control, and Sanitation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse and inclusive environment
  • Ability to travel as needed; valid driver’s license and required insurance coverage

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling and execution of assigned Food Safety and Quality Internal Audits
  • Lead change control process to assure operational adherence
  • Assist in creation and delivery of FSQ programs to all employees
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional HACCP team meetings
  • Work with process authority on process recommendations and deviations
  • Lead FDA process filings
  • Facilitate and provide technical support to 2nd party and 3rd party GMP, Food Safety and Regulatory audits and inspections
  • Facilitate and provide technical support in GFSI certification audits, including associated CAPA reports
  • Maintain compliance with Halal, Kosher, USDA, Identity Preservation Programs
  • Support Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory aspects of the relationship with customer
