About The Position

The Frozen Food Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the frozen food department, working under the direction of the Grocery Manager. This role involves assisting the Grocery Manager in overseeing department operations, including supervising and training staff. Key duties include maintaining the quality and condition of all frozen grocery products, ensuring proper stocking, rotation, and facing, and discarding expired or spoiled items. The supervisor is also responsible for maintaining the backroom and cleaning shelves. Additional responsibilities include assisting with ordering, receiving, storing, inventory control, and creating product displays. The position emphasizes providing enthusiastic, safe, friendly, and courteous customer service, engaging in suggestive selling, and assisting with planning for regular, seasonal, and special merchandise needs. The role also involves managing backroom inventory, assisting with dry grocery order writing, stocking, conditioning, new item integration, and the reclamation process. This is identified as a safety-sensitive position.

Assists the Grocery Manager in planning and organizing regular and seasonal merchandise requirements.
Assists the Grocery Manager in planning and organizing special sales needs.
Rotates and faces product.
Processes and discards outdated and spoiled products.
Cleans and dusts shelves.
Orders frozen merchandise.
Trains, teaches, and coaches dairy stocking and conditioning standards.
Assists with the "dry grocery" order writing.
Assists with grocery stocking and conditioning.
Works on new items.
Assists with the reclamation process.
Manages backroom inventory, conditions, and standards.
Assists with grocery department merchandising and building displays.
