About The Position

The Frozen Food Manager oversees all daily operations of the frozen foods department, ensuring product availability, freshness, inventory accuracy, and compliance with food safety standards. This role leads department associates, manages ordering and shrink, and partners with store leadership to drive sales and deliver a positive customer experience.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the frozen foods department
  • Order product to maintain proper inventory levels and minimize out‑of‑stocks and shrink
  • Ensure proper rotation, dating, and handling of all frozen products
  • Maintain freezer temperatures and cold chain integrity at all times
  • Execute planograms, resets, seasonal transitions, and promotional displays
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of freezers, cases, and backroom areas
  • Monitor department sales, labor, and supply usage
  • Respond to customer questions, concerns, and special requests
  • Supervise, train, and develop frozen food associates
  • Assign daily tasks and workload based on business priorities
  • Coach associates on productivity, food safety, and merchandising standards
  • Promote accountability, teamwork, and a positive work environment
  • Support scheduling and timekeeping accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
  • Monitor freezer temperatures and document required logs
  • Properly handle recalls, damaged product, and shrink procedures
  • Follow company policies related to safety, loss prevention, and merchandising
  • Ensure accurate pricing, signage, and label placement
  • Maintain organized backroom and freezer storage areas
  • Track sales trends, shrink, and inventory movement
  • Communicate operational needs and issues to store leadership
  • Support company initiatives and department performance goals
