About The Position

Riverside Ambulatory Surgery Center is a fast-paced, patient-focused surgical center dedicated to providing high-quality care in a safe and efficient environment. We work closely with surgeons, patients, and referring offices to ensure a seamless surgical experience from scheduling to discharge. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Office Surgical Scheduler to join our team. This role is responsible for front desk check-in, accurate patient registration, and coordinating surgical procedures while ensuring all insurance and scheduling requirements are met. This position is critical to maintaining efficient operations and preventing billing and authorization issues. Requirements

  • Previous experience in a medical office, ASC, or healthcare setting preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with surgery scheduling strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance verification and coordination of benefits (COB) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner
  • Accurately verify and enter patient demographics and insurance information
  • Identify correct primary and secondary insurance (including Medicare Advantage plans)
  • Schedule surgical procedures and coordinate with physician offices
  • Ensure all required documentation, authorizations, and clearances are obtained prior to surgery
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and internal staff
  • Answer phones and assist with patient inquiries
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
