About The Position

Responsible for assisting with all functions associated with front and back office. Must be an effective communicator who can express himself/herself on a daily basis in a professional manner both verbally and in writing as well as be a proactive professional who can identify problems and solve them in a timely manner. Works under the direct supervision of the Clinical Office Manager and, for medically related issues, under the supervision of the company's COO. In addition, provides center level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS). This description is intended to provide only basic guidelines for meeting job requirements. Responsibilities, knowledge, skills, abilities and working conditions may change as needs evolve.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Two years of related experience in a healthcare organization and/or medical supervisory experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) from four year college or university preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee front office, coordinate patient services and scheduling.
  • Hands on patient contact.
  • Work directly with authorizations and scheduling on daily basis.
  • Counsel patients regarding bills
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality.
  • Knowledge in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), regulations pertaining to the Clinical Laboratory Improvements Amendment of 1988 (CLIA '88), applicable state regulations, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Bloodborne Pathogen regulations.
  • Complies with federal, state, local and company-specific regulations related to quality of product, employee and patient safety and to the proper performance of day-to-day activities.
  • Refer to the Clinical Office Manager when in need of problem solving, or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including employee issues.
  • Demonstrates continued competency in the performance of job responsibilities and cooperate in the weekly assessment by the Medical Director.
  • Conducts pre-placement evaluation of new hires to include assessment of medical history questionnaire.
  • Assists in coordinating Hepatitis vaccination program, including vaccination against Hepatitis A & B and TB of all employees.
  • Maintains applicable employee medical records.
  • Assist in training of employees, as required.
  • Takes initiative to task train in other work areas to assist, when available, in production.
  • Attends monthly staff meetings.
  • Reports to COO, when Clinical Office Manager is absent.
  • Work with other Medical Supervisors to ensure coverage of all operating hours.
  • Travel to site locations when needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
