About The Position

The Front / Back Office Specialist supports clinic operations by providing exceptional patient service at check‑in and check‑out, managing scheduling and administrative duties, and assisting with basic clinical support tasks as trained. This position plays a key role in maintaining patient flow and operational efficiency in a busy outpatient clinic.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer proficiency and professional email communication
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a clinical setting

Nice To Haves

  • 1–2 years healthcare office experience
  • Experience with EMR systems (Athena preferred)
  • Medical terminology knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients
  • Collect co‑pays and verify demographic and insurance information
  • Schedule appointments and procedures using NextGen
  • Prepare daily deposits and end‑of‑day batch reports
  • Answer and route phone calls professionally
  • Confirm appointments and assist with patient checkout
  • Room patients and obtain vital signs
  • Assist clinical staff and providers as needed
  • Maintain organized and clean clinical areas
