About The Position

WHAT YOU’LL DO - Communicates effectively both orally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff. Observes performance and encourages improvement. Interviews, selects, trains, supervises, evaluates, counsels, and administers disciplinary procedures for front office staff. Monitors lobby traffic and makes staffing adjustments as required. - Reviews VIP reservations and ensures proper handling of VIPs and groups, administers amenity orders, and resumes for incoming guests. Updates system by inputting inventory and non-inventory groups. Monitors special reservation requests handling and oversees rate changes on in-house guests. - Computes daily payroll schedules, and other reports. Analyzes data and makes decisions based on prior experiences and knowledge of circumstances to prepare daily and weekly forecast of expected arrivals and departures. - Manages front office staff, resolves guest concerns, and implements resolutions by using discretion and judgement.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform critical analysis.
  • Ability to manage extensive amounts of information and provides constructive feedback/direction.
  • Excellent written skills sufficient to produce communications that properly reflects the Hilton image.
  • Excellent oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Considerable ability to listen effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team.
  • Ability to delegate, manage and organize projects and establishes priorities consistent with hotel objectives.
  • Ability to effectively deal with guests and associates, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet and work effectively under time and resource constraints.
  • Ability to effectively lead team of professionals.
  • Leadership experience; preferably 5 years or more.

Nice To Haves

  • Hotel general management experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of successes in achieving revenue and service objectives.
  • Proven ability to recruit, motivate and train a team of professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Attends industry meetings and participates in industry organizations.
  • Participates in and maintains active community relations.
  • Participates in and ensures the hotel maintains active college relations.
  • Participates in corporate activities and meetings, as requested
  • Input and retrieve information from computer system for file maintenance, correspondence and preparation of forecasts.
  • Frequently serves as the Manager On Duty.
