What You'll Do: The Front Office lead plays a critical role in ensuring exceptional guest service and smooth daily front office operations. This role is the on-shift leader responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient front office operations during all shifts. This role oversees workflows, processes and adherence to standards while independently making decisions to maintain exceptional guest service. Functioning as a system and process expert, the Front Office Lead handles more complex operational tasks and seamlessly transitions between front office functions based on business needs. The role requires independent decision making, strong multitasking skills, and the ability to thrive in a demanding, high-volume, service driven environment. Additionally, this role plays a key role in guiding, supporting, and training staff, contributing to the onboarding of new employees. Housing may be available on a first-come, first-served basis based on position. Reports to the Front Office Manager or Manager on Duty. Required to work on site. Variable schedule requiring days, nights, weekends and holidays. Position starts at $23.00-$24.00 per hour DOE

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED - preferred
  • 6+ months front desk/customer service experience - required
  • 6+ months cash handling experience - required
  • Experience with Springer Miller hotel management software - preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite - preferred
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English - required

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily front office operations ensuring smooth and efficient workflow during all shifts.
  • Oversee the preparation and accuracy of check-in packets, guest folios, billing, and cash handling procedures.
  • Act as primary escalation point for guest issues, resolving concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Skillfully move between front office jobs including front desk, bell/guest service, PBX and concierge.
  • Maintain proficiency with property management software and ensure team adheres to systems and processes.
  • Facilitate effective communication between shifts, ensuring smooth handoffs and consistent flow of information.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, security and other departments to fulfill guest needs and address operational issues.
  • Support onboarding and training of new front office staff.
  • Model and reinforce company service standards, grooming guidelines, and professional behavior.
  • Communicate important guest details, operational updates, and service concerns to managers and relevant departments.
  • Support special projects or departmental initiatives as assigned by the Front Office Manager.
