About The Position

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care is seeking an experienced and versatile Front Office Float to join our team at our Englewood clinic (Swedish Medical Center Campus). This position requires cross-training in all front desk positions, including scheduling, reception, operator, and Patient Financial Counselor. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. We realize that it sounds cliché but it is true - taking care of cancer patients is a calling. It's much more than a job. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Position requires at least 3 year office experience, medical office required.
  • Have excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Proficiency with computer systems a requirement. Microsoft (Outlook, Word, and Excel) a plus.
  • High level organization, attention to detail and prioritizing required
  • All qualified candidates are required to pass a background check and non-federal drug test (which excludes marijuana) post offer of employment and prior to hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a practice management system with insurance forms and appointment scheduling preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Must be comfortable communicating with medical professionals as an integral part of the care team

Responsibilities

  • Schedule new patients, patient referrals, and returning patients in the computer system, following physician and office guidelines.
  • Obtain and enter insurance authorizations and correspondence in patients' charts or electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other out-of-pocket amounts at the time of visit.
  • Greet patients and visitors, providing support and acting as a resource during their time in the front office.
  • Update patient demographic and insurance information, ensuring proper referrals are in place.
  • Assist with document control by scanning and attaching documents into the EMR.
  • Answer incoming calls and route them appropriately.
  • Perform insurance verification processes and obtain pre-authorizations for services and surgeries.
  • Conduct financial counseling processes with patients, explaining their financial obligations and establishing payment arrangements.
