About The Position

Advanced Surgical Mobile Eye Care is seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Front Office Coordinator to join our growing mobile optometry team. We provide on-site eye care services to nursing homes and long-term care facilities throughout Florida, making quality vision care accessible to those who need it most. Position Overview Located in Apollo Beach, Florida, the Front Office Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations by managing scheduling, patient coordination, facility communication, glasses ordering, and administrative support for our mobile doctors and clinical team.

Requirements

  • Previous medical or optical office experience preferred
  • Experience with eyewear ordering or optical labs is a plus
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Proficiency with computers and EMR systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Managing the patient schedule for visits with nursing homes and long-term care facilities
  • Coordinate daily routes for providers
  • Answer phone calls and respond to emails professionally
  • Verify insurance and process billing information
  • Order eyeglasses for patients and manage the full glasses ordering process
  • Track and follow up on lab orders to ensure timely delivery
  • Communicate with labs, facilities, patients, and families regarding eyewear
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Provide general administrative support to the clinical team
